Brother Mel grew up in Indonesia.  When he was 19 years old, he and a group of his friends got serious about God.  During a prayer meeting one night, the Holy Spirit showed up baptizing them all like in the Book of Acts.  Detailed in his books, Like A Mighty Wind, and his second book, The Gentle Breeze of Jesus, tongues of fire appeared over their heads and a “Mighty Rushing Wind” swept through the church.  They all spoke with other tongues.  Over the next eighteen months they moved throughout their nation walking on water, changing water into wine and raising the dead.

Pastor Massad is the founder of Higher Ground and has been in the ministry since 1986.  After a dissatisfying bible college experience, the Lord gave Pastor a vision for a different type of college.  After working as an assistant pastor,  then as an evangelist for several years and then after eight years of pioneering an inner-city church and pastoring a large prison ministry, he moved to LaBelle, Missouri to oversee the birth of Higher Ground Bible College and Church.

Colonel, Dr. Bill Peters

 

Colonel Peters is the author of First Force Recon Company - Sunrise at Midnight.  As a Special Forces Commander in Vietnam he rescued American POWs. (Yes he set the captives free!)  Colonel Peters will be teaching on the nine principals of warfare.  (Mess these up and you loose the war.)  He will also be teaching the fundamentals of teamwork from a Special Forces perspective.
